Il pargoletto è stato bravissimo: dopo aver bevuto solo poco mio latte prima delle sei di mattina e camomilla alle sette, è rimasto tranquillamente senza bere e mangiare nulla fino a mezzogiorno e mezza. Anzi ha pisolato, giocato, civettato con tutto il personale femminile del reparto, dando prova di essere davvero il bimbo più bravo e simpatico del mondo.
Dopo mezzoretta ce lo riportano sveglio e ingessato. Lui è incredibilmente ancora tranquillo: beve il suo latte, gioca, sorride, si fa la pennichella, rimangia, gioca, cena, a nanna. Neanche un capriccetto.

The broth
I do boil for half an hour or two just about everything: onions, garlic, onions, potatoes, carrots, celery, zucchini, daikon, Jerusalem artichokes, shallots, leeks, pumpkin, cabbage, fennel, tomato ... with kombu seaweed.
